Milford Ribbon Cutting

Milford Ribbon Cutting

After 17 years in the making, Milford now has an unbroken 6.5-mile trail from the Hopkinton town line through Milford to the Holliston town line.
The long struggle to bring the project to completion involved land acquisitions for 70 percent of the trail.

The trail’s “missing link,” a mile-long stretch from Mount Pleasant Street to Veteran’s Memorial Drive and an 800-foot stretch that connects the Milford Trail with the Holliston portion, were completed earlier this fall.

Reno DeLuzio was involved from the beginning and is considered by many as the critical force behind the project. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, State Rep. John Fernandes (D-Milford) and Sen. Richard Moore (D-Uxbridge) congratulated DeLuzio and those involved on their work.
